Portfolio Reshuffle
Primer on my investment outlook
As a part of the previous article arguing for excessive speculation in commodities, and the fact that listed commodities are at multi-decade highs, I've been reshuffling my portfolio. I've added positions in CSSG ( Clean Seas Tuna ) a tuna-breeding company (the theme being the reduction of wild livestock), CCIG ( Chrome Corp ), owns a chrome mine in South Africa, and of course, Chrome is an unlisted metal, SHGG (A company with an energy theme, but focusses more on drilling), the theme is that drillers and companies that explore are in short supply, BPKG (Bremer Park), a timber company with HUGE land holdings.
The common theme is that I want to invest in markets that have'nt really gone up. No one talks of agriculture or fish breeding. Unlisted metals do not have the levels of speculation seen in listed ones. And, irrespective of the price of oil, large amounts of money are being invested in drilling, and there is a clear shortage of people/equipment.
